The Lowedown
specialises in finding the news stories at the heart of your business...
The Lowedown launched in January 2020 specialising in creative PR, storytelling and communications. It offers affordable freelance services, PR training and media relations consultancy.
Founder and consultant Emma Holgate-Lowe has worked in PR and journalism for nearly a decade. Starting her career as a news journalist in local papers she later worked for leading national news agency South West News Service (SWNS). It wasn't long before Emma headed for Fleet Street to work for the Daily Mail newspaper, on its notorious show business desk.
After a few years in London life (and love) took her back to her northern roots, and with it came a career change working for a consumer PR agency in Manchester as a media manager. Emma has since worked as a media specialist and communications assistant manager in-house for Kellogg's. Delivering PR in the UK and Ireland across the cereal and snacks portfolio, CSR news agenda and corporate communications. During her time in-house Emma was also responsible for internal communications events and projects.
